ETX, Inc. Acquires The Assets of Accurate Transmissions, Inc.

Alma, Michigan, September 24, 2007 - ETX, Inc. announced today that they have acquired substantially all of the assets of Accurate Transmissions, Inc.

Accurate Transmissions, located in Mundelein, Illinois, is one of the largest production remanufacturers of complete transmissions and torque converters for automotive and heavy truck applications. Accurate has been supplying the fleet, retail and warehouse distributor markets since 1984.

Jeff Anderson has been appointed General Manager of Accurate Transmissions. Mr. Anderson has thirty-six years of remanufacturing experience with Remy International (Williams Technologies), Stanadyne Automotive and Bendix Corp. The majority of his career has been as President of the South Carolina based Williams Technologies. During his tenure at Williams Technologies, he was responsible for remanufacturing transmissions for O.E. service and warranty replacement for Ford, General Motors, Allison and numerous other automotive and industrial manufacturers.

Alan Gatlin, President and CEO of ETX, Inc., commenting on the acquisition, stated; "This is a very strategic acquisition for ETX, Inc. This is a market we were actively trying to penetrate, and Accurate is a strong complement to our other companies. Accurate's customers will appreciate the commitment to quality and customer service that Jeff Anderson and the Accurate management team will add to the broad product offering and nationwide distribution. Our number one priority today, is servicing the current customer base with quality transmissions."

The Company will continue to operate from the Accurate facilities in Mundelein and has retained the majority of the management team and employees. According to Jeff Anderson, "We have re-opened the supply lines and are in full production today, shipping high quality transmissions to our customers."

ETX, Inc. is the holding company of Alma Products, Alma, Michigan; ATCO Products, Inc., Ferris, Texas; DACCO, Inc., Cookeville, Tennessee; and Accurate Transmissions, Mundelein, Illinois. The companies manufacture, remanufacture and distribute torque converters, transmissions and related power train components, as well as a complete line of mobile air conditioner parts.

JAAI acquires certain assets of Coolstar, Inc. 

Jordan Automotive Aftermarket, Inc. (JAAI), headquartered in Deerfield, IL announces the acquisition of certain assets of Coolstar, Inc. (Coolstar) of Dallas, TX by a subsidiary of JAAI.  With this acquisition the Coolstar product lines of automotive, heavy truck, off-road, agricultural, aircraft and military air conditioning evaporators and hose assemblies will be offered under JAAI’s existing APCOAir brand of new and remanufactured compressors, hose assemblies, accumulators, receiver-driers, thermal expansion valves and fittings. The Coolstar line of evaporators and hose assemblies will be available under the APCOAir brand in October 2005.  

The Coolstar manufacturing operations, along with the key Coolstar engineering and sales staff will be moved to the Ferris, TX location of ATCO Products Inc., another JAAI company known for its high quality products and service commitment to the automotive A/C industry.  By integrating the Coolstar and ATCO operations in Ferris, the company will be able to maximize its manufacturing and customer service activities.  This will allow the company to continue to provide the highest quality products with service that exceeds customers’ expectations.

Customers will benefit from this acquisition through the enhanced product offering, greater vehicle application coverage, improved manufacturing and engineering capabilities and a highly motivated and knowledgeable sales staff. 

The acquisition reflects JAAI’s continued commitment to the mobile A/C industry.   As part of this commitment, JAAI welcomes Robert Kreymer, Mike Ferguson and the other key manufacturing and engineering professionals from Coolstar to the APCOAir team.   This group brings with it over 100 years of total combined manufacturing, engineering, quality, sales and marketing experience and knowledge.
